The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 leaks have been pouring in for the past couple of weeks and finally, the launch date is here. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer couple of months ago launched the Mi 8 and the Mi 8 SE in China and they also managed to unveil a whole new set of revamped fitness devices alongside the aforementioned devices, one of them was the much-awaited Mi Band 3. The predecessors of the Mi band 3 were actually quite popular here in India and also worldwide.

The teaser page for the Mi Band 3 is already up in Amazon.in with amazing graphics on the page as well as a slogan which reads “Smarter Living range of smart products”. Although they haven’t mentioned anything about the Band 3 on the landing page, the graphics on the site sure point it that way. While the launch is set for September 27 we might see a lot of band 3 leaks in the coming days. The page also suggests that the “device” will also be able to track more data with higher accuracy as well as it’ll help ‘you’ reach your ‘fitter’and’ smarter’ lifestyle.

According to sources close to the company, Xiaomi will most probably be launching 5 of the expected devices in the upcoming launch held on 27th of this month. This is one of the highlights of the device which makes it unique in this price range. Published

on

Later last week, OnePlus after being on the front page for more than a month or two had finally scheduled the launch of its much-awaited OnePlus 6T on October 30th.

The launch is still scheduled in New York. Although, there were some changes in the plans as Apple announced they’d also be announcing an event on the same date but an hour after them.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, publicly put out a statement on the OnePlus forums mentioning part of the reason was Apple, and OnePlus didn’t want them to steal their “thunder”.

This decision was very hard to make considering the fact that flights and hotel rooms were already booked for the media attendees and also many fans across the country had already set their schedule up for it.

But, OnePlus has promised that they’d be more than happy to reimburse the bloggers and OnePlus fans of the loss and that they’d be reaching them over mail for further instructions and also they will be helping them switch up their plane ticket dates so that they can still attend the event.

October 30 was the date OnePlus chose to reveal their latest flagship. But, Apple had other plans. The Cupertino-based company is expected to make a bug launch itself with its awaited iPad Pro 2018 as well ass some Mac hardware which the community has been asking for.

The OnePlus Community on the forums were pretty shocked and some of them managed to get a reply from Pete himself. The moderator also mentions that the India launch event for the OnePlus 6T as of now is unaffected and will be held on the same date, October 30 at 8:30 PM.

“We have only just begun our journey and cannot afford to let one of the most important products in our history be affected by another great product launch. So after deep reflection, we have decided to move the OnePlus 6T Launch Event in New York City to October 29, said Lau in his post on the OnePlus forums.

We hope everything has worked out well as of now and if you are one among the affected keep an eye out on your email because Pete posted that further instructions will be sent to your email. Apple To Reportedly Use OLED Displays In All Three 2019 iPhone X Models

Published

on

Some recent reports suggested that Apple recently began planning for its 2019 lineup of iPhones and they’ve come up with the decision to go with OLED Displays, like the one seen on the iPhone X as their tech of choice. Some previous rumors also suggested that Apple is planning to launch three new iPhone Models which will supposedly see the light of the day next year, and considering the rumors saw today, we can be sure that the previous reports were correct. This year, however, Apple is planning to launch two devices with an OLED display and another one with a low-cost LCD display. An unknown source said that:-

“Apple has decided to put OLED in all new iPhone models in 2019, However, if there are more than three new models, an LCD model may be maintained.”

Apple’s LCD displays are facing tough times as their suppliers including Japan Display, had a fall in stock by nearly 10 percent after reports of the OLED display being used emerged. Sharp, another LCD display manufacturer saw a 4 percent dip in its share prices too. Apple currently used a rival manufactured Samsung display for the iPhone X, which is the company’s first device to sport an OLED panel. Samsung will need additional production facilities to make displays for Apple as their deal is supposed to deepen in 2019.

Apple OLED

Apple also added LG to its chain of command to create a mix in their OLED supply channel. LG is the only supplier for the OLED Displays we’ve seen on the Apple watch. LG was basically supposed to be a backup option for Apple but that might not be the case this time due to continued manufacturing issues.

Apple is rumored to launch three new devices this year, one with a 6.1 Inch LCD display, and a 5.8 inch and 6.5 inch OLED display model namely the iPhone X 2 and the iPhone X Plus.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Price, Specifications, Live Images Leaked; Tipped to Offer 3D Face Scanning

Published

on

Chinese smartphone manufacturer has officially confirmed that they will be launching their flagship device, the Mi 8 on 31st May at an event held in China. This is Xiaomi’s 8th-anniversary edition smartphone which will be reportedly packed to the neck with premium features. As it happens with any smartphone likely to see a launch in the near future, it gets leaked and so did this Mi 8, its price, specifications details all have been leaked. The device will supposedly come with 3D facial scanning, the latest Snapdragon chipset and a vertical dual camera setup at the back.

Xiaomi Mi 8

An image was recently leaked in the Chinese website Weibo, is likely that of the Mi 8 and tells us about the storage/ RAM variants, pricing, and key features of the Xiaomi Mi 8. The image told us that the device will sport a 6.01-inch display alongside an under-display fingerprint scanner which will unlock the device instantly and without any delay. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC chipset and would be available in two different variants, one with 6GB RAM/64GB storage & 8GB RAM/128GB storage options. The device will feature an AI camera with 2x times optical zoom and a structured light 3D module for facial scanning. The 6GB RAM variant will be available at a price tag of CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs. 29,900), while the 8GB RAM variant will cost CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs. 34,200).

Another leak seen on the same website Weibo gave us information about the design and hardware details of the device. The images we saw there showed us that the device will have a transparent glass panel that shows the internals, and a vertical dual camera setup identical to that seen on the iPhone X. The Xiaomi Mi 8, following the trend houses a notch display with volume and power buttons on the right of the device. It is weird that there is no Xiaomi logo seen on the device, neither on the front and nor at the back. All the doubts will be cleared in a week from now when we see the official launch.
